Thesis follow-up

Each laboratory attached to the ED 352 supervises the theses by means of an individual follow-up committee for each doctoral student, which is composed of at least three researchers or lecturers. The persons who are involved in the PhD work of the PhD student concerned cannot take part in the monitoring committee. In case of co-direction between different laboratories it is the laboratory of the main thesis supervisor who ensures the follow-up.

The follow-up committees meet according to the rules set by the laboratory concerned before 15 July of each year and give an opinion to the re-registration of the doctoral student concerned using the form provided by the ED 352. After all parties have signed, the form must be transferred to ED 352. The deadline and July 20th of each year. In 2017 the deadline is postponed to 10 September in view of the introduction of the new procedure.

All PhD students who wish to re-enroll for the new academic year are concerned by this follow-up procedure. PhD students who have registered for the first time in the current calendar year are exempt.
