Courses are an integral part of doctoral training at ED 352.

3 compulsory online courses (moocs) to be taken during the1st year of the thesis:

All courses offered by amU can be found in the ADUM catalog, and doctoral students must register directly online from their ADUM account, using the e-mail address prenom.nom@etu.univ-amu.fr shown on their school certificate. This e-mail address must be configured as the main address for the ADUM personal space.

At the end of the course, doctoral students must complete a questionnaire, and the hours completed will be credited to their ADUM account once the questionnaire has been answered.

Doctoral students may choose to take courses outside the ADUM catalog, which will be credited to their account subject to prior agreement with the ED.

All doctoral students must take a minimum of 100 hours of training during the preparation of their doctorate with at least 50 hours of scientific training.

Please note that all training hours in the ADUM catalog will appear in your portfolio (useful for your CV, for example).

Scientific courses

Each year, ED352 proposes a list of scientific courses available on ADUM in the training catalog

(under "Scientific training - disciplinary and transdisciplinary seminars"). All courses are taught in English.

Doctoral students may choose to follow other scientific training courses:

  • one or more thematic schools (e.g. Ecole d'Eté) can be validated as scientific training (with the agreement of the ED), for a maximum of 30 hours per school.
  • Master's courses (contact the ED)
  • courses offered by other EDs
  • online courses with certificate of attendance (contact the ED)

Some key points:

  • Scientific outreach activities will be validated for a maximum of 10 hours over the duration of the thesis, in the professional training category.
  • For any other training you wish to follow, please contact the ED for possible validation.
  • Conferences, workshops, scientific meetings and teaching courses are not taken into account by the ED.
