Registration

Registrations will begin in September (they may start in July, depending on the start date of the funding contract).

The conditions for doctoral registration are defined in article 11 of the decree of May 25, 2016
In view of the duration of the funding granted, the thesis takes 3 years to complete in the vast majority of cases.

Registration for the first year of the thesis is subject to the quality of the doctoral candidate's dossier and to obtaining funding for the entire duration of the doctoral preparation.
The applicant must hold a Master's degree or equivalent, and enrolment in ED 352 requires a Master's average of at least 12/20 on the French grading scale, as well as the agreement of the thesis director, the director of the research unit and the director of the doctoral school.

The thesis director sends the full transcript of Master's grades to the ED(ed352-direction@univ-amu.fr) for verification prior to the application for enrolment on ADUM.

Students holding a Master's degree from outside the Bologna Process member states and exempt states, or holding any other degree equivalent to a Master's degree, will need to obtain an exemption from the Master's requirement (see section "inscription pédagogique pour la procédure").

Registration for the first year of the thesis is granted by the head of the establishment on the recommendation of the ED director.

in your 1st year of doctoral studies:

You must create an account on https://adum.fr , which will be your personal space
throughout the preparation of your doctorate.

Registration takes place in 2 stages:

1/ PEDAGOGICAL REGISTRATION with the Doctoral School (ED): online on the ADUM  

The registration file requested by the ED consists of the following documents:

• the candidate's CV,
• the thesis topic (with the name of the thesis director and co-director, if applicable),
• a letter of motivation,
• two letters of recommendation (from the person in charge of training and the person in charge of the M2 internship),
• the transcript of grades and honors from the Master's program (1st and 2nd year): official documents issued by the Registrar's Office,
• copies of diplomas or official attestation of successful completion of the degree issued by the home university.
• the funding contract for the duration of the thesis: YOUR FUNDING CONTRACT MUST NOT BE BEGINNING BEFORE YOUR REGISTRATION AT THE ED.

Two other documents may be sent to the Doctoral School if necessary:

• ed352-direction@univ-amu.frune request for a master's degree exemption if the master's degree was obtained in a country which is not a full member of the Bologna Process/European Higher Education Area

//amubox.univ-amu.fr/s/JYizNoBqdRNpDqeVotre Thesis Director and Laboratory Director will validate your registration request. The ED352 Director will then validate it.

2/ ADMINISTRATIVE REGISTRATION at the University (or École Centrale Méditerranée)

You must register with : 

• the Luminy school if your thesis director's laboratory is: CEA - CINaM - CPPM - CPT - LAI - LP3 - CRMBM
• the St-Jérôme school if your thesis director's laboratory is: FRESNEL - IM2NP - LAM - PIIM
• the Ecole Centrale Méditerrannée school for doctoral students attached to ECM.

Pay the Contribution Vie Etudiante et de Campus (CVEC) online by logging on to the https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/ platform and downloading your CVEC payment certificate, which is essential for your administrative registration. Once you have finalized your administrative registration, you must set your main e-mail address to the one shown on your school certificate: prenom.nom@etu.univ-amu.fr. This will enable you to register for doctoral courses.
